Pastor Steven R. Lee accepted the call from the congregation of New Hope Baptist Church on Sunday, September 8, 2013 to become the church’s second full-time pastor. Born in Dallas, Texas in 1967, Steven, spent his formative years growing up in Duncanville, Texas a suburb on the Southwest side of Dallas.
In his youth Steven was a football, basketball, and track participant and enthusiast. Before entering the Gospel Ministry, Steven worked for Southwest Airlines in the Aircraft Maintenance Department as a Sr. Aircraft Maintenance Planner for seven years. While employed in the Aviation industry he acquired a Pilot’s and Dispatcher’s license which he'll be glad to talk with you at length - just ask! While working at Southwest Airlines Steven met the love of his life, next to Jesus of course, and was married to Stephanie Diane Field of Corpus Christi, Texas on May 29, 1993.
Pastor Steven earned a B.A.A.S. degree from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas and served in a three-year pastoral intern program as assistant to the Sr. Pastor of what was one of the largest Southern Baptist Churches on the Coastal Bend at the time. Steven has served the Lord’s Church in pastoral ministry, since April of 1994 and has pastored churches in Kansas and Texas. Before coming to New Hope he was the Pastor for almost seven years at Calvary Baptist Church, located in Pearland, TX. Steven is an avid reader and loves to study, teach, and preach the Word of God. The Lee’s have four school-aged children, affectionately known as the “Fantastic Four.” Steven’s hobbies include dating his wife, spending time with the kids, working out, salt water fishing, gardening, and fixing stuff that is broken.
Pastor Steven considers it an honor and a privilege to pastor New Hope Baptist Church. He looks forward to many productive and victorious years of ministry at this great church.
If you do not have a church home please consider yourself invited to worship Jesus with us, and hear our pastor preach “all” The Word of God!

My wife, Karen, and I were married in 1971 in a small church here in Decker Prairie. We lived in Houston for several years before moving back to Tomball in 1974.
We have two sons - Chris was born in 1974 and Ryan was born in 1978. We are the proud grandparents of Parker who was born in 2010.
I retired from Cy-Fair ISD in 2012. I enjoy an occasional round of golf. Karen and I now are able to spend more time with her parents, Bill and Dorothy Neal.
I am blessed to serve the Lord at New Hope as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. My class is primarily for Senior Adults. We have a warm, welcoming fellowship.
