Steven Lee

Pastor

Pastor Steven R. Lee accepted the call from the congregation of New Hope Baptist Church on Sunday, September 8, 2013 to become the church’s second full-time pastor. Born in Dallas, Texas in 1967, Steven, spent his formative years growing up in Duncanville, Texas a suburb on the Southwest side of Dallas.

In his youth Steven was a football, basketball, and track participant and enthusiast. Before entering the Gospel Ministry, Steven worked for Southwest Airlines in the Aircraft Maintenance Department as a Sr. Aircraft Maintenance Planner for seven years. While employed in the Aviation industry he acquired a Pilot’s and Dispatcher’s license which he'll be glad to talk with you at length - just ask! While working at Southwest Airlines Steven met the love of his life, next to Jesus of course, and was married to Stephanie Diane Field of Corpus Christi, Texas on May 29, 1993.

Pastor Steven earned a B.A.A.S. degree from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas and served in a three-year pastoral intern program as assistant to the Sr. Pastor of what was one of the largest Southern Baptist Churches on the Coastal Bend at the time. Steven has served the Lord’s Church in pastoral ministry, since April of 1994 and has pastored churches in Kansas and Texas. Before coming to New Hope he was the Pastor for almost seven years at Calvary Baptist Church, located in Pearland, TX. Steven is an avid reader and loves to study, teach, and preach the Word of God. The Lee’s have four school-aged children, affectionately known as the “Fantastic Four.” Steven’s hobbies include dating his wife, spending time with the kids, working out, salt water fishing, gardening, and fixing stuff that is broken.

Pastor Steven considers it an honor and a privilege to pastor New Hope Baptist Church. He looks forward to many productive and victorious years of ministry at this great church.

If you do not have a church home please consider yourself invited to worship Jesus with us, and hear our pastor preach “all” The Word of God!

New Hope Christian School Director

I have lived in the Magnolia area since 1975 and have been a part of New Hope since its founding, January 1988.  I was married to my husband Lee in 1993. We began praying for a Christian school.  The Bible says in Mark 11:22, Have faith in God.

The Lord opened the doors for us to begin our school in August of 1997.

The purpose of New Hope Christian School is to offer an alternative to the public schools and serve as an outreach ministry to our community.  Both of our boys Chad and Coltin have been enrolled since kindergarten and have since graduated from our school.  Our common goal within the Church and School is to prepare students academically and spiritually for this world and eternity.

I would consider it a privilege to give you a tour of the school and to discuss how we might help meet the educational and spiritual needs of your children. We do not take that responsibility lightly. If I can be of further assistance, please call or stop by.  May God truly bless you.
